Our pathway program is for students who don’t yet meet the English requirements for direct entry into a Canadian college or university. Once you complete it, you can apply to our partner schools without taking an extra English proficiency test.
Besides skipping the English test, you’ll build the academic skills Canadian schools expect: essay writing, presentations, and critical thinking. You’ll start your program ready to succeed, not trying to catch up.
College or university: what’s the difference?
Universities offer 4-year, theory-focused degrees and are the most expensive option. Colleges offer 1–2 year diplomas focused on job-ready skills, often with co-op. Private colleges cost less, while public college diplomas tend to carry more weight with employers.
When can I apply to a partner school?
As soon as you receive your RCIIS letter of acceptance, you can start your application to any of our partner colleges. There’s no need to wait until you finish your English studies.
Do I need to finish every level before starting college or university?
Not always. Entry requirements vary by school and program. Some of our private college partners accept students from Pre-Academic 2, while most public partners require completion of our EAP program.
You’ll take a placement test on your first day so we can place you in the level that matches your current English. From there, you move up as you complete each level, so your timeline depends on where you start.
