Power Speaking Intermediate

This course is designed to provide students with as much speaking and listening practice as possible. It offers practical, everyday English skills through functional English lessons (e.g. shopping, ordering at restaurants, job interviews, etc.). The course also sharpens students’ academic skills through intellectually stimulating discussions and vocabulary-building exercises. The class uses a communicative approach and allows students a variety of opportunities to express their opinions and creativity. The teacher encourages student participation and gives daily corrective feedback relating to pronunciation, articulation, vocabulary, grammar, intonation, and word/syllabic stress. Teaching methods are focused on active participation, speaking, and listening skills.
