The International English Language Testing System, IELTS is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers. It is jointly managed by Cambridge English Language Assessment, the British Council and IDP Education Pvt Ltd, and was established in 1989. In IELTS, there are four sections: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
There are two versions of the IELTS: The Academic Version and the General Training Version:
• The Academic Version is intended for those who want to enroll in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors and nurses who want to study or practice in an English-speaking country.
• The General Training Version is intended for those planning to undertake non-academic training or to gain work experience, or for immigration purposes.

Upon completion of this program, the student will:
- be familiar with the exam format for IELTS
- have learned exam taking strategies like skimming/scanning, paraphrasing and interpreting graphs
- have practiced the skills necessary to succeed on the IELTS
- have practiced taking all parts of the IELTS exam: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking
- will have developed and improved listening skills for gist and detail
- have developed and improved academic reading skills
- have improved written accuracy
- have improved spoken fluency
- have increased knowledge of academic vocabulary
- acquire the language proficiency needed to enroll in a university at the undergraduate or graduate level (Academic Module)

IELTS Mock-Exams
Students will be evaluated using mock IELTS tests and receive a report card at the end of each session.
Students missing more than three (3) days per session will not be qualified for certification.
Students are required to bring basic school supplies (pen, pencil, notebook).
Mock exams and photocopies will be provided to students.
