Exploring Canadian Culture

The goal of this class is to help student improve their English while also exposing them to various aspects of Canadian culture and life. This class will allow students to have a better understanding of Canada and build connections to Canadian people. Students will focus mostly on reading and speaking skills. Some example topics include:
- Canadian slang
- indigenous peoples of Canada
- food
- stories
- music and television
- sports
- landmarks
- famous Canadians
- basic geography
- identifying Canadian money
- multiculturalism
- holidays
- Canadian English

Class Outcomes

Students will receive feedback from the teacher.

Attendance Policy

Attendance is an integral part of this class. Students who miss more than 3 days per session will find it very difficult to improve or keep up.
