This course is for students who have a medium to broad vocabulary but still struggle with phrasal verbs and idioms. While these are the main focus, students also have plenty of opportunities to practise what they learn through interactive communication activities and to broaden their vocabulary, whatever their level. To keep the course practical, it covers only common idioms and phrasal verbs, so students can start using them right away in the community.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
• Identify and use common everyday idioms effectively
• Use phrasal verbs in spoken and written English
• Communicate more effectively with others in English
• Understand and take part in casual conversations with English speakers
• Pair work, group work, and role-plays
• Controlled, semi-controlled, and free practice
• Regular review of covered topics
• Field trip
Regular attendance is essential to success in this class. Students who miss more than 3 days per session will find it very difficult to keep up.
