Covering all major communication skills is an excellent way to improve your overall English ability. Pre-Academic courses (levels 1-4) are designed for students who want to improve their general English competency, and to have a betteropportunity to become familiar with academic English components. Students must achieve the appropriate levels in order to be accepted into the various levels of this program. These courses not only aim to provide a foundation into the IELTS and EAP programs, but also to help students reach a higher level of ESL proficiency.

Program Duration and Structure:
It can take up to 28 weeks to complete all levels of Pre-Academic English with 20 hours of study per week. Before you start preparing for our pre-academic programs, your English language level and skills need to reach an acceptable level.
This course is intended to help pre-intermediate students improve their English skills in preparation for academic courses such as Pre-Academic 2, Pre-Academic 3, IELTS, and EAP. This course prepares students to use English with increasing fluency and accuracy in classroom and social situations. Students will develop the oral presentation, reading and writing skills required for their further studies in the academic path.
This course is designed to help intermediate students increase their proficiency in English in order to prepare for academic English classes such as Pre-Academic 3, IELTS, or EAP. The focus of the course is on building a strong foundation of core language skills. Through the use of themed units, grammar concepts are integrated into discussions, readings, and writings. In this way, students can attain a greater fluency, and also become better acquainted with Canadian social and cultural issues.
This Pre-Academic English course is designed for students who want to improve their general English competency, and also to have a chance to get familiar with some Academic English components that are covered in academic courses like IELTS. This course not only aims to provide a foundation to IELTS and EAP programs, but also to help students attain a higher level of ESL proficiency where they are using English with ease. Lessons are based on several different themes, and focus on all four communication skills.
This four-week course is designed primarily to equip ESL students with the needed tools to be ready for the English for Academic Purpose program. As such, the topics and assignments are more academic focused than previous classes and the assignments and evaluations more stringent. After completing this course, students will have an academic foundation allowing them to handle a more rigorous and intensive workload.
By the end of the program, students will:

- Have developed academic writing and reading skills, with a focus on paragraph and essay writing
- Be more confident and accurate in their use of the language
- Have developed more independent learning strategies
